Rescreening of Andrea Levy

A rescreening from the 2011 UEA Literary Festival

Andrea Levy is a writer of Caribbean Heritage, born in London in 1956 to Jamaican parents. She is the author of the critically acclaimed and bestselling, Small Island and The Long Song and three other novels that explore - from different perspectives - the problems faced by black British-born children of Jamaican emigrants.

She has won many major literary prizes. In this intimate and revealing interview with Professor Chris Bigsby, Levy talks about the ways in which her heritage has influenced her writing and how her writing career developed.
